Microschool software UI Text revamp

Objective

Improve the clarity, consistency, and user-friendliness of the UI text for a microschool software application.

Background

I accidentally came across this website when I was traveling in the West Coast of the United States where an employee was working on improving the user experience of the product. I chimed in and asked if I could give it a go.

  • Approach:

    • Asked the designer questions to understand pain points and preferences around the existing profile page.

    • Analyzed the current UI text and identified areas for improvement, such as unclear language, inconsistent terminology, and lack of clear calls-to-action.

    • Proposed new UI text that addressed the identified issues, optimizing for conciseness, scanability, and actionability.

02

Zenoti Employee Settings page revamp

  • Objective: Redesign the employee settings page of the spa-salon management software to improve the user experience and streamline common administrative tasks.

  • Approach:

    • Reviewed the existing employee settings page and identified pain points through stakeholder interviews and user testing.

    • Conducted a competitive analysis to gather insights on best practices for employee management interfaces.

    • Proposed a new information architecture and UI design for the employee settings page, focusing on task-oriented organization, clear labeling, and intuitive navigation.

    • Collaborated with the engineering team to ensure the new design was technically feasible and aligned with the application's technical constraints.

    • Conducted usability testing on the prototype and incorporated user feedback to refine the final design.

Year in Review feature in Zenoti

Objective: Introduce a "Year in Review" feature in the Zenoti spa management software to provide more actionable insights for business growth.

Approach:

  • Understood the "Year in Review" feature functionality from the product owner from the Analytics team.

  • Gathered information from the team on its usefulness and areas for improvement.

  • Ideated and designed new UI concepts for the "Year in Review" feature, including visualizations, data filters, and recommended actions.

  • Tested the prototypes with users to validate the usability and effectiveness of the new "Year in Review" experience.

  • Used the number of clicks on the information button as a guide to the usefulness of the feature.
